Not had one for ages ! If Kristian is looking in, maybe he'll be kind enough to post the pic of the monster Bullhead he caught from The Marden a couple of years ago ! Astonishing !
My favourite species at the moment are Dace ! I have been catching some lovely 8oz+ fish from The Marden recently ! Not bad for a stream you can literally jump across !
Out in the snow today, for a few 4-6oz Dace and some rogue Brownies, got some VERY strange looks from the dog walkers

My recent Bullhead was on the Mease, it was tiny, smaller than the lobworm it was hanging on too. However I was very pleased to see it as they are rare these days. The record is 1 lb, which must look amazing as the biggest I think I have ever seen couldn't have been 4 ozs.

Bullhead record is an ounce not a pound!! a 4 oz fish would be massive!

Well some body must be fibbing as here it says 1 lb as the record. I must admit that this surprised me as thinking back on it 4 oz would be a fisherman's exaggeration of the biggest I have seen! When fish get this small it is difficult toplace a size on them..but they have all been tiny!

That's a very accurate list you have linked, the Barbel Record is wrong, the chub record is wrong AND the bullhead record is wrong

Pete, to add to Ian's list of incorrect records....
Bream, both silver and common (bronze).
Grass carp and I'm sure but not certain the catfish record must be wrong?

I dug this list out which allegedly is accurate as of 2008. I can only assume 1/1/08?
Rather a joke these days IMO, the record commitee that sits in judgement over what is a record and what's not can't even be assed to string a website together.... Load of old £$%^&*(= IMO!!
