Where you going ??

With the new season rapidly approaching, where are you going first trip ??

As I'm no longer a member of the BMAA, I'll have to venture up to the Newark area of the Trent. Ladypit fm might be the first visit. Nip over after work for a few hours. My right shoulder is playing up a little, so trotting might be a painful experience. Other than that, East Stoke for a more relaxed style of fishing.

You ??

Local Ouse 1st night, and maybe day on 7 at Coalport following day
Might see you up at east stoke later in season

My local river wharfe in Yorkshire if it’s too busy at the first venue? I’ll drop down and fish a very quiet area close to home 😉 then the Severn Baa the weekend after where it will be busy! Just got to take the rough with the smooth there will be plenty of quiet days later in the season so I don’t let it bother me for now I just need to be there and catch a few fish 🎣 👌🏻

I reckon most places will be quieter than expected. There does seem to be a downward trend in numbers on the bank at any one time which I suspect is cost of living plus the covid influx dwindling away possibly? I'll be lost in Wales somewhere.
I agree mate, I think most people stay away thinking it’s going to be too busy for the first few weeks only for it to get busy a month or so into the season? I’m not complaining though as I like to have a good choice of pegs to fish 🎣 so my advice is to hold back for a month or two? 😉😁

on a very quiet stretch of the severn probably have it all to myself
