Whats the difference between a Seal and a Dolphin ?

Any one that fishes the Lower Severn will all be to aware of the problem that a seal has been causing and the frustration that nobody is prepared to catch it and remove back to the sea ?

It appears that Natural England dont want to get involved with our friend the Seal on the Lower Severn .

It appears the a Dolphin swam up the River Dee and was rescued by the RNLI and returned to the sea ?

So why is a Dolphin treated any different to a seal ?

Because it's a cuddly cute creature so it's untouchable.

Because everybody loves Flipper.

Because of spring tides there was a real danger of the dolphin becoming stranded at low water. Hence the decision was made to relocate. Had that danger not existed then I'm sure that it would have remained as a tourist attraction.
