Whats best recent bit of tackle you have bought ? and Why ?

I will kick it off and say the Ridge Monkey Action Station I absolutely love it !!!! mine I fit on my storm pole

I keep everything I need to recast without having to keep ducking under the bivvy/brolly
hook sharpener ,hook, scissors ,super glue ,swivels ,spare hook links , baiting needle, bait stops ,glugged baits in 50ml pots all to hand

Not an item of tackle but maybe something that will prove to be far more valuable....this book: potentially a game changer! If you can get past the schoolyard smirking at his name

Should add the Drennan Acolyte 13' plus.
Absolutely brilliant rod.
Was speaking to someone on a work party this morning who's got the 17' Acolyte and he loves it too.
I feel a purchase coming on.

Mine is a bit of kit that costs nothing, the inserts are pennies really from a certain online auction site.

The containers came from Lidles, and originally had a variety of screws inside, so it was a win win.

Now they hold my Pike traces, enough for a day session.. but could be adapted for lots of applications.. they keep the contents dry, and dont take up much room . Similar to the Rig Bin, but keeps the contents seperate and on individual winders.

At the Big one a few weeks ago I bought a 11ft 0.75TC specialist rod from the Darent valley tackle box. Looking forward to using it now after getting back from a holiday.
Lovely rod, I bought mine primarily for perch fishing but I've had barbel and pike on it and it's surprisingly powerful for it's stated TC. I also have a pair of their 1.25 Avon quivers, excellent for tench!

Hi men
