Hi

I'm after either an origianl Greys Prodigy Specialist or Specimen Rod. Both had two tops, 1.25/1.75 and 1.5/2.0lb TC respectively.

Now sorted - thanks for your help guys

3 x 1.25/1.75 's for sale on eBay collection from Essex you might be able to arrange some deal on a courier.

The "originals" have duplon foregrip and superior x weave carbon all way up the bottom section; unlike the "new version" which is full cork but just plain carbon; cheaper build but not cheaper price. I know as got both rods (Specialist and Speciman both with twin tops including rod bags) and they bend all the way top to butt! super things if you can get originals; better than "new version".

Sorry to hijack the thread Andy

But maybe this is why there are big differences of opinion on this rod

I have the specimens , originals , and love them to bits , softish tip , power in the middle down to the but

Reading done comments , the new versions font sound half as good !

Dunno which ones I've got then, as they have full cork and x weave!
