Looking for a pair of the above, looking to pay up to £100 plus any postage.
Twin tips would be ideal but avon top only is fine as will be used for ledgering for perch/roach etc.

Thanks for that Simon, will have a look, as they are float rods did you use them for ledgering ?

Check out the John Wilson Masterline / Jarvis Avon rods Nick, the involvement with Jarvis as the manufacturer has given the rods real class.

Personally I would opt for quiver tips, for me they are crucial to detect bites, especially in winter. The Avon section is a bit that get's unused on my Avons, but some use them for trotting for perch / chub etc, or of course a light barbel outfit.

I dont get what the legs have to do with it, but agree that pellet waggler rods are great for perch and roach light ish legering. Wouldnt use mine with a livebait though.

I have shakespeare mach 3 11ft pellet waggler if its of interest, you should be able to pick them up around 40-50quid on ebay. Beautiful action.

OK i'll re phrase it, they aint stand off float rings, they are single legs as on a light specialist rod, stop knots go through them a treat and they make blinding rods for float fished livey's and with bobbins for ledgering.

Nick,
I have a pair of Fox Specialist 12ft 1lbTC Rods [green blank model no. RD3238] for sale if you are interested. Twin tips..Avon tip + quiver tip..22" [560mm] cork handle with 16mm Fuji reel seat....In EXCELLENT condition... I would be asking a tad more than £100 for the pair but would be prepared to arrange a meet for you to view them...PM me if you are interested and I'll send you my contact details and we can chat...
Regards
Bill

Got it now, soz

No need to be Soz, i didn't explain it very well ! Like you probably did i ended up buying a Pellet Waggler rod because there is bugger all in the way of good light specialist rods out there for this type of fishing, most are too pokey by far even if they do class them as 1lb t.c etc. These waggler rods have as you say really nice actions, through-ish with a bit of bite in the lower section, perfect, i really wish someone would produce a rod similar to my fox ones but on a better blank then i can rid myself of the urge to shell out on two Preston carbonactives and rip the rings off for a re-build !!

Thanks for all your input guys, the reason I asked about the pellet rod is that I have been using an 11ft Korum float rod for my perching on one particular venue and the action is just like an Avon rod.however it has standoff rings. Would not stop me ledge ring with it though to try it out !!!

PM Nick,
