wall mounted rod rack

I'm thinking of getting a wall mounted rod rack to store rods in a spare bedroom (safer than garage). I've never had one before so would appreciate feedback from anyone who has one or can recommend one ? Thanks.

I have cheap white metal shelf brackets that I have turned the ends up with a pair of grips, they hold my rods in there bags, even with my carp gear and brolly/bivvy in the bag aswell.

i thought of buying this one

but its pick up only .and too far south for my liking

you can get burkley horizontal racks of e-bay

these can be horizontal or vertical

at pressent i use two of these plastic garden tool racks from a diy store

but i'm also thinking of building a new rack for my rods ,or a couple of them but space is tight ,as my tackle and work room is in my attic and i'm considering getting someting like these

and mounting them of strips boards ,too fix onto the eaves ,but i'm still in the planning stages as i've a few rods too store and want too get it right.

I use white PVC plastic pipe clips that screw to battens on my garage wall. They are shaped like hooks and avaialble in different sizes, which caters for different sized diameter rods.

Not expensive either & avaialble from B&Q, Homebase etc.....

thanks for all the replies and links, I think a vertcal rack is the way ahead for me and I like the look of the Berkley one Paul sent.

I find the simple way to store my rods is. Chuck em all in the corner of
my study/junkroom and any other wallspace i have :)

In my defence,i have one of the most organised tackle rig storage, cabinets
you could wish for.................cant have total perfection :D

Half organised Howard

I lie mine down across the open top of my MGB in the garage, ie. windscreen to half tonneau, I guess I need to come up with a better method too!!!

If you want to store rods horizontally then ladder racks work well that you get from hardware stores and building merchants. L - shaped and I've doctored mine by extending the arm with an old bank stick and then wrapping some of that insulation foam / pipe cladding stuff that plumbers use. The foam protects the rods from being scratched as I store mine ready set-up with reels and rigs on.

Over the top of my barbel rods I have a longer / heavy duty version, but again a ladder rack that I've adapted, and that holds my carp holdall with 3 made up rods, two unmade rods, pod and all the other gubbins. Weighs a tonne but properly screwed to the garage wall it can take the weight.

I've positioned mine deliberately high so they are out of harms way leaving plenty of storage / wall space below.
