i hope all is well with you Paul, its this time of year that i really miss the colne valley and all its jewels mate, and some of the hidden gardens in june;)

Hope your both well

A little known fact is that Dick did not invent the Arlesey bomb although he did redesign it for better aerodynamics.
In a letter to me [early 80's] Dick says "...........some years later I came across an oldish book in which the author recommends adding a swivel to an ordinary pear-lead to avoid line twist in flight, so clearly someone preceded me in thinking up that idea."
Notwithstanding that it was Dick's success with the big perch at range at Arlesey in 1951 that made the design popular.
