Hi folks
well after forum member and top bloke Jon Frisby invited me for a days fishing with him to help me break my 5lb 6ozs PB from 1962

On Monday morning I drove from Hillingdon to somewhere on the Tidal Trent and
I met up with him he had pre baited a peg for me and first cast the rod wasn't in the rest more than 30 seconds and I had a new PB

a lovely Barbel we didn't weigh but it was between 7 and 8 pounds ! I was as pleased as punch what followed next was a day that I will relive in my memory forever a total of 5 fish including 3 doubles
11lb 8ozs, 11lb 14ozs and My new PB 12lb 1 ozs it's gonna take weeks to get this smile off my face !!!
Just want to say a huge thanks to Jon Frisby for helping me and the sheer amount of tips and knowledge he passed on to me is priceless it's going to make me a better angler and I now have a greater understanding of just how important the resting and releasing these king of the river fish is thanks to all who wished me luck and offered help and advice what a great forum

Great story, and what a lovely thing for Jon to do

But what we really want to know is were you using hot & spicy spam?
