I got one of the Tfgear pins the one with the two gold handles with a broken U shaped ratchet held on with two small screws and wondering if anyone can advise if Tfgear hold any spare parts.

I have ordered a spare from them this morning after reading that the ratchet spring is a weak point on them, they cost £3 each........... I found an alternative phone number to their 0871 number as I hate being ripped off by companies making money out of me phoning them, its 01874 612600.

PS this was for a TFG Classic centrepin.
 
A mate has several of these pins and loves them; however he too identified the ratchet spring as a weak point. I don't know how he made contact with them, but during the subsequent telephone conversation, they acknowledged the design flaw and sent him a number of spares FOC.
 
I had one of these as my first pin and the ratchet broke I emailed them and they sent me one tree of charge. I ordered a spare as well. But soon sold it as I didn't feel confident it wouldn't break again.
