Tidal Trent

Considering doing a few sessions back on the tidal next season as a change from the middle reaches every week. Barbel society water or Ashfields Collingham stretch? Any help would be appreciated. Any other private tidal fisheries?
Thanks

John,

Join The Association of Barbel Fishers. We have a stretch of the Tidal at Normanton. Membership is by donation and the fishery is £42:00 per season. No waiting list for Normanton at the moment. Take a look at the website www.barbelfishers.com

Is that correct Bill £42.00 per session ?. I fish 2 to 4 times a week so at £42.00 each time it would price me out of fishing at together.

Now I've put my specs on i can see you said season no per session. On their website they only have one stretch near me which may be well worth the £15 asking price

No worries Iain, I not only need glasses but I'm going mutton as well. No.1 son say's he's going to get me an ear trumpet

You've obviously been looking at the Downton stretch on the ABF site Iain. Barbel are thin on the ground that high up The Avon I am told and the weed, like most of The Avon, can be quite dense in summer BUT as you say worth a punt. :)
