Tidal Trent rod rests ?

whats everyones idea of the best rod rest setup for use on the Tidal Trent ?
couple of 48" storm poles or a tripod of some sort ?

The only area I may use a pod on the Tidal Trent is around the weirfield at Cromwell. My set up for all my other areas is a 12 fox bankstick with a Korum butt cup rest and 48 inch fox storm poles. Don't buy the screw in one's as you can easily shove the sticks in no problem. Always point rods and sticks down stream too.

Shakespeare salt tripod .

Have used this for both sea and Trent river fishing for the last few years, with a adapted bar for bite alarms, had to use longer locking rod rests with shorter storm poles for the last session of the season when I forgot to put it in from my sea fishing rod bag, did feel more confident with tripod , but the stonflo gripping rest heads on the storm poles that can be locked at a angle stopped the rod being dragged in when I was lucky enough to connect with a fish . Do agree with putting whatever rest at a angle facing down stream slightly.

I was thinking about one of the Ian Golds Super Match Rest ?

update

I have now ordered the 2017 Korum River Tripod
many thanks for all the advice and replies much appreciated
Best Regards
