threads as battle grounds

is it just me or are most new threads on here becoming automatic battlegrounds
it seems lately that some people just want to row or bicker instead of just reading & respecting others thoughts & replying in a friendly manner :(

Hi men,

Neil , seems that way , quiet entertaining during the off season. I love the " copy / paste " posts :D.

TDG - trousers down googlers , wikipedia to back up posts are sad, and most of the subjects are fringe barbel subjects by the end :D. But a good banter / discussion / rows thread is ok ?, patting people on the back all the time don't work. I don't agree with alot of views , but people throw a pebble in the river to see how far the ripples spred !, long may it continue !.

Perhaps things will improve after Thusday, when we all get back to doing what we love?

With the emphasis on "some people" as apposed to the vast majority. The problem being some peoples perception of the written word, where a general opinion from one person differs from that of another, it is veiwed as a personnal attack rather than what it is. Had the same discussion took place face to face the opposing parties can see/hear the tone of what is being said and probably wouldn't bite so hard! Then again, some people are just argumentative! That's life!

Ah the 80's! So glad I was just young enough to not appreciate how bad it was!:)

And you see Neil, this is how it works, someone will come and defend the 80's now and the thread will become a fringe subject as Mark says:D

All just a bit of banter really, nothing like a good argument/wind up to waste away the close season, bring on the otters!

We all love each other really;)

Ah yes, the Eighties, the decade in which the only Real Man in Britain wielded a handbag...

[Cue much foaming and gnashing on the old BFW]

Sorted then Rhys...you have now explained why you smell so bad AND why you argue so much. Can't ask for more than that :D:D:D

Cheers, Dave.

Can the moderators close this thread down now, it has got completely off topic and out of hand :)

Or then again, perhaps Andy can't be arsed to interfere when people are just having harmless fun, rather than the nastiness that some are prone too :p

Cheers, Dave.

Damn....I HATE people who do that :D

Now I have to start a 'Save our penguins' campaign :p

Cheers, Dave

Ha! I wondered what the hell you were on about with that comment about me smelling so bad! I changed my avatar for the completely separate reason that it was time for a change!
Sharp as s**t me:)

Nice one Rhys :D:D....but I still say 'Bring back the penguins' :D:D

I must admit I seem to be a tad obscure at times. I have always had a quick sense of humour, and I take the pee out of myself at least as often as I do others. Sadly, it does fall on stony ground at times....but you can't win 'em all :p

Cheers, Dave.

Neil not half as bad as the old BFW forum now that was a great read. But I must say its seems the same one think we know who we talking about who likes to have a pop or two (Not you Rhys of course :D) whos nice chap when you meet him
