Muckboot Fen boots Not a true wader as such, but waterproof, very warm and airy and probably the best bit of kit I bought last year!! Not cheap though

If you are pushed for cash I have just bought a pair from Aldi for less than £20. I have found them to be very comfy but of course I have yet to try them in cold and really wet weather, I will have to wait until July!!!!

I would get some breathables if you want to wear them all day. There is more choice if you buy chest waders. They are so lightyou won't know you've got them on.I have had these for about 10 yrs without a single problem. You need to buy boots suitable for the surface you intend them for e.g don't get felt bottoms if you will be walking up steep grassy/muddy banks.

Also good if you are not an off the peg size

Rubber ones at £13 from Aldi get my vote too. They are better made than many more expensive ones and have a generous sized boot which will take a thick sock. The nylon ones with an attached welly boot (e.g. Ron Thompson) are particularly poor and always go on the seam where the nylon and rubber meet. 2005 was a record year for me: went through eight pairs of thigh waders and two pairs of chest waders .

I want to ask exactly what it is you do, all dressed up in your rubber gear, which wears them out at such an astounding rate :eek::eek:

However, being of a delicate and tender disposition....cough...I will refrain

'course, if you feel you NEED to explain, there is always the PM facility...:eek::eek:

:D:D:D

Cheers, Dave.

I bought the Aldi waders a few seasons back still going strong and very comfortable the have press studs to fold down nice and neat and lace up behind the knee well worth it might get another pair and put them away for the future

I recently bought shakespears for £40. They are comfortable and seem to decent quality but having seem Wills Aldi's i can't say the shakespears are worth the extra.
