Back in those Saharan days of no rain, hose pipe bans, rivers drying up, and a heat wave in March we were all encoraged to pray for rain.
Well it worked, the wetest April on record, and the environmental computer at my nursery recorded 18 hrs of continuous rain on Sunday night and Monday. It is true what they say "be careful what you wish for".
I am now faced with a flooded river on opening day when only a few short weeks ago the prophets were saying we would be trying to find a pool between the trickles. The bridge at Coultershaw where I will be fishing was closed in both directions this morning due to floods!
Every where else has a climate. We just have weather.
