I recently saw a short video on Benwick Sports' YouTube channel, and Mat Godfrey was promoting the new collection of Guru Aventus R rods.
I think the float rods are all rated to 10lb mainline, and when asked, Mat Godfrey said the rods were good to trot for barbel fishing.
With a 10lb line rating, they should be ideal for targeting barbel on the float. The 14 and 15ft rods do sound appealing, but the price is a little off-putting.
They may be worth a look at if you aren't put off by the high price tag.
Has anyone actually seen the rods in the flesh/carbon
