Guys,
I'm new to barbel world, and thought I would join to keep up with all things Whiskers. I've just joined BMAA and have started fishing the Dove. Well firstly what a fantastic looking River . I've barbled mainly on the severn in recent year with the best being 11lb 7oz . mow living in staffs and thought I would try the Dove. After six trips and as many different stretches i have had no luck except for a 6lb 8oz chub, not that I am complaining about that.
Any advice from Dove anglers on the more productive stretches would be appreciated. i'm not nesasaryly after huge fish just want to catch barbel initially. I know where the larger fish have come from but don't really want to be fishing it out with all and sundry for one or two fish
