Found this on youtube its a video of a French guy describing his barbel fishing method, I think you may find it interesting If not a little unusual.
I dont know how to post a link so If you google "Thats French fishing Barbel " you should find It Ok.
The chap has a few other fishing videos on there for other species but watch the barbel one Its not an April the first stunt honestly.
