TF Gear FSI specialist 11'float Rod

Hi Guys.
Searching for info. Some may have seen Robert's listing in classified re the above which now sits amongst my other numerous rods which the RSM says I will never use etc etc etc. I had had major input on definition of TSI, but I am struggling to find any details on the rod as such. Sadly TF Gear seems to have hibernated and of course Fishtec are no more. I can clearly remember seeing these in the quarterly catalogue they sent out, I thinkbut that was very early days when I took up fishing again on retirement. Does anyone have any info details as such? Save as to the odd snipped, that they were very dear, I am drawing a blank. Alec
ps. I will use it!

Alec, I have one and its classified as a "specialist" rather than float rod. I use mine occasionally for low water summer barbel with 8lb mainline.

Thanks Cliff. Barbel and for that matter nice rivers are a bit scare here in Essex. I am a big fan of polaris float ledger fishing so I plan to use it predominately for that, rather a light ledger, in fact as I do my peregrine Avon. Not sure purists will agree but I think it's fun.

There is a small article on anglers net I have found by trawling back. A few bits which are helpful. I wondered if the blanks were from suho corp in china where hardy fly and I think the marksman were made, the mk 1 jw young course too. They were 249.99 in 2010 which was very much in marksman price range then.

Hi Alec, yes the rods had a very high RRP but they were sold from day 1 at a heavy discount, I believe I paid about £130 for mine.

Sounds about right to me. 250 was marksman money then. Even j w young had rrp of 150 but discounted 50% or so.. ( the wooden reeel seat mk 1as I call them.) Had 10 at one time, ha!I think it will prove to be an ideal polaris float ledger rod.
