Just wondering if its necessary to have swivels on feeders and leads, could the swivel make them more prone to snagging?

I can see this leading to an argument like most of your threads Duck.

When was the last time you saw a feeder twisting the line? If the lead is in one quadrant it cannot possibly spin. Same goes for hooklengths too, unless the diameter is very low and the hookbait makes it twist.
