Suggestions for a good boilie glug for Barbel

Hi..... a couple of days ago I discovered a batch of frozen home made boilies in my freezer, they have been there for about 14 months , forgotten about..they were originally made from ground up Hali pellets, base mix, egg, and a couple of addatives, they have now seem to have lost all smell colour and taste , so effectiveley appear to be neutral, they are however quite absorbent when de frosted, and retain there shape even after a good long immersion, I was wondering if anybody could suggest a decent glug available from the internet, that would appeal to a Barbels taste buds that would re vitalize them.(Dont have a local tackle shop to supply me with the stuff )

All suggestions appreciated.

Dave

Look at the fishy additives that Dynamite Baits produce, ideal for soaking boilies in.

Spicy Prawn and the Spicy Tuna one's they do both appeal to Barbel, caught loads on them flavours.

They do glugs but don't bother with them, you want the square shaped additive bottles they do.

There about £7 a bottle but you'd be able to glug 3 or 4 Kg of Boilies and have enough left to knock up a batch of paste ;)

Most tackles shops stock Dynamite baits ranges.

or go for the cheap options.....

Cod liver oil

diluted marmite

corn steep liquor

hemp oil

hemp water

thai fish sauce

Mike,

Why dilute the marmite, I find a good coating of un-diluted stuff works well.........

I fall firmly in the 'hate it' camp. If it's slightly diluted so that it's liquid the brown foulness doesn't cling to the fingers so agressively but does penetrate a boilie!

Do you eat 14month old frozen food yourself ,David and think it is as good as fresher stuff ?
Bin it ,and make some fresh stuff.

Pellets dont last for ever, though some folk think they do.

I have seen loads of pellet thrown away at Sonubaits because the boss says it is not fresh enough and is out of date.Fact.
