Sportex supersafe rod bags

Morning. I have been a fan of the current range of sportex rods( effectively cross weave) and tackle since I bought on ebay about 10 years ago a twin tip xclusive barbel 1.75 and 2.1/4. I also imported later a float and a feeder rod. I saw a new supersafe advertised in France so bought that too. Mine is a 150cm rod bag, takes two made up rods, plenty of room and very strong. I also have the daiwa version which is heavy and a very poor imitation and retailed dearer. Anyway I have searched for years for another supersafe but they were not imported here. When climax gave up sportex agency it went to Glasgow angling. I asked them a couple of times but they said they could not get them.Wanted something for my 2 aspires so asked parent company in Germany. Got invoice and paid yesterday. £89 delivered. If any of you have rods you treasure these supersafe rod cases are the nuts. They do them in 130/150 /165. Highly recommened!.

The problem for these hard case rod bag/hold-all is, they don’t come with place for landing net, which is super annoying for me since I don’t like carrying anything in my hand when moving.

But the I found that the Preston did a 2 rod hard case with side pocket for landing net, and the length 178cm is spot on for 11ft rod. Bought one, bery happy with it.

One of the best which did , was the tfg compact. It was around 30/40£. Great value, with outside pockets for handles, wrap around nets etc twin zips etc. I still have 2 in the loft I no longer use. Often on ebay.
