My number 1 bit of advice for the Trent would be to look for rolling Barbel at dawn and dusk, if there is a decent head of Barbel in the stretch it should soon be obvious what swims they are in. Tactics maggots/casters and hemp in the day depending on there being good water clarity and in the evenings I would go with pellets.
