Although there is no test curve marked on the rod I believe it is a 1 1/2 lb TC but I will check in the morning!

Julian, I believe the 4-piece has a slightly higher test than the standard 2-piece. I think the 4-piece is rated at 1LB 8oz.

The extra eye/ring is to aid casting with a c'pin. I sold this one recently but to a.n.other
