Snapped tip

Senior Member
Just snapped the tip of my korum al rounder 1.25 from the tip eye to the next eye down

My question is shall I just bin it or can it be reused ie add a quiver or swing tip ect

Get yourself a solid glass or carbon tip section, cut back the broken tip a little and slide in the solid section and whip some eyes on.

You can find the old video online of John Wilson fixing a broken rod in this way.

If you did just want to replace it, grab a Shakespeare Solitude 11ft 1.25 from AD for around £35, much nicer rod.

That’s what I was thinking splice a tip in to it and make a new tip

Bonus side is Father’s Day is not to far off so possibly a new rod coming my way or maybe 2 everybody needs a matching pair
