Sixteen foot drain..

Evening all, was inquiring if there are any zander in the sixteen foot drain around Ely way..was planing a trip in a couple of week for pike but thought I'd ask if zander are present as well.

I haven’t fished that area for decades; but both Mark Barrett and Steve Younger mention the sixteen foot (and Ely) in their books on zander.

Unfortunately zander fishing has gone downhill in the fens since Steve and Mark wrote their books on a wave of zander popularity 20 to 30 years ago. Fortunately a dead roach on the Fens is probably hard to beat for Pike and of course will take a zander .
