Shocking news !

Hope the local clubs are members of Fish Legal. The EA might investigate but action will take a long time, assuming they can find evidence to confirm who the polluter was.

My club , Verulam, have a section of the Ouse there, they're very switched on about this sort of thing and I'm sure appropriate action will be taken.
The club has recently received substantial damages for a pollution incident on another river, enough to fund construction of two (I think) backwaters.
 
Jail for the directors of companies that pollute is imo the only answer, fines are passed on to customers and there is little if any effect on those responsible.
