I wouldn’t be worried over the line I would never use line on a second hand reel It could part with a pb on the end for

Thanks Lee, I agree. For me spool capacity ratings don’t tell the whole story. I like to ask someone who’s used the reel for a better gauge of what’s suitable.

FYI @Gavin Merivale i had 5 and 6 pound drennan float fish on spools, great little reels for light specimen work.
