Shimano 8000 OC’s

If anyone is looking at the moment there are three (3) on eBay. If they were 6000’s I’d be all secret squirrel and bid myself but not looking for the larger model. 😁

There isn't a lot of difference to be fair Bill. Obviously the 8000 spools hold more line, but the spool diameter is only fractionally larger, looking the same to the naked eye.

And the body of the reel is only fractionally bigger. On my P1 pike rods I've got a 6000 on one reel and an 8000 on the other and consider it a matched pair!

It's a funny one really. I would have thought the 8000 should somewhere between the 6000 and 10000 in the size. All a bit random.

Joe’s right there is very little in it at all. The few grams of extra weight between them is most likely in the 8000 handle arm as it’s a thicker and more heavy duty otherwise it’s quite pointless really having the two different models

Cheers Chaps, I’m watching them and will see what the bids are like close to the closure of auction👍
