I'm going to join Lymm anglers for the upper reaches of the Severn and possibly Birmingham anglers for all of the Severn but does anyone know of a small club with a good stretch .... pm's are welcome, I remember in the 90's I used to fish a place called Ford near Montford Bridge I think it was a small pneumatic company or something that had the rights and I went past a Rectory and then a chicken farm on the way to the pegs and we parked in the field and the Boris fishing was fun and hectic so as I say I enjoy the small stretches owned by small clubs are hidden gems hopefully my pm box will have a couple of gems or even a totally quite stretch of the Severn

Maybe you're thinking of Forton and Fitz church? Sabrina club had a stretch on that bank.

This is the area I was on about if it sheds any light on it as I remember turning off at Montford Bridge and going passed a garage and a vicarage then going down a farm lane past a chicken factory ..... I've tried finding out who has the rights to where i think it was but to no avail
