Hi Jason,

In the last picture, what are the redish marks towards the edge of the dial face, particularly the one bottom left? are they surface/removable, or are they something going on under the glass?

Why are you getting rid of these...are you starting to have problem with them?

What are you going to use when these are gone?

Cheers, Dave.

I have these scales - very accurate and reliable and at that price a steal I would say. Looks like pike blood on the scales!Wouldn't sell mine.

Hi Dave

Its not blood mate, as its a browny colour, Its just dried dirt that looks a bit of a light stain, I think the photo makes it look worse to be honest, I've just wiped the dial face with a sponge and water and it's virtually cleaned it. You'd probably get it all off with a bit of cleaner. Fishing Takle's made to get dirty afterall ;)

I'm only selling them as I've bought myself a pair of the Fox Stalkers, I've wanted a pair for a long time now but kept putting myself off when, ultimately yes, I know they'll do the same thing as the one's I'm selling. Tackletart thing I suppose. :D Just hope I don't have problems with the Fox's and then regret selling them.

I wouldn't sell anything I thought was faulty mate, its not my style, ask those who've bought off me in the classifieds before

Cheers
Jas

Fair play to you Jason, as I would've treated the annoying little quizzical digs with the contempt they deserved, i.e ignored them...

Dave, are you going to buy them now Jason has given plausible explanations to your questions?????????????

Still for sale, Surprised no ones wanted a bargain, difficult times I suppose.

Were you interested Dave or just posting comments?

Cheers
Jas

What the hell has it got to do with you? I was asking perfectly legitimate questions, addressed to a person selling an article...as I am fully entitled to do. I have been ripped off on such sites more than once, so I now buy NOTHING without first doing my best to make sure exactly what I am buying.

I suppose someone who is idiot enough to make comments like yours is also dumb enough to buy items from classified sections with no questions asked, but please do no expect others to be similarly stupid.

Jason, I will answer your question via PM.

Cheers, Dave.

Colin anyone considering buying a second hand item is going to ask questions regarding any flaws with the item, why on earth should such questions be ignored?

The opening line of item description clearly and concisely answers Dave's question asked:
"In the last picture, what are the redish marks towards the edge of the dial face, particularly the one bottom left? are they surface/removable, or are they something going on under the glass?"

But these three comments were tops:
"Why are you getting rid of these...are you starting to have problem with them?"

"What are you going to use when these are gone?"

"Thats what bothers me Geoff." (this in answer to someone posting: wouldn't sell mine.)

I don't know why Jason is/was selling these scales but IMO you've put him in an unnecessary awkward position, as if he was (not saying you were Jason) selling due to financial hardship, you've placed him in a position where if he wished to successfully sell the item he must answer your question.

"Are you starting to have problems with them?"
Well if a seller is wishing to scam you they'll say no but in fairness the answer is in Jason's item description.

Some questions are better asked via a pm, 'P' for private, such as you (Dave) have done so with regards declaring any potential interest in this item.

Dave, just to clarify I'm not the "dumb" one, I use my limited bit of intelligence to consider how best to ask a seller questions, a shame others don't.

John, I think your question directed to me has been answered above but to re-emphasise this, I'd ignore questions that are of a potentially sensitive nature and/or have already been answered.

Looks like another sales thread full of stupid snipey (go ahead deny but I'm not alone in my thoughts, only I tell so)

Jason, I'm glad the item sold as this wasn't exactly the smoothest running sales thread.
