Salmon fishing in Scotland

A friend from America is heading over here in a few weeks time and is looking to do some salmon fishing on the Tay. Somewhere around Dunkeld and Pitlochry. I’ve never Salmon fished so I have no clue on this but can do some googlin, meantime if anyone can give me some pointers I’d be very grateful ? Thanks

They are very reliable and have all relevant catch reports, water levels and availability and prices.

The autumn is prime time on the Tay, so your friend has picked a good time. The side river to the Tay called the Almond is also a good September river.
