River Wear, Ive been banned!!

Hi John,
I tried to log on yesterday and couldn't get on. Wondered if they have banned me, username was stuthebroo. I was discussing the recent capture of a 10lb catfish down at Ferens Park and stated that I wouldn't put it back, maybe that upset the moderators. Not received any official notification of a ban yet though I have contacted the site owners.

Sorry to hear it, seems a bit weird. However, I've always felt that the rivers from the Tees northwards are coarse rivers in spite of the EA and lots of the riparian owners. There has been a focus on Salmon (and to a lesser extent sea trout and brown trout) that simply isn't there from the Swale and further South.
As a start it would be good to see coarse anglers fishing their local rivers. In the longer term I'd love to have the choice of heading North or South to be at least a bit less of a no brainer. I won't be holding my breath.

It's an outrage.....I have also been banned from sites in the past for asking awkward questions.

If you still want access and your ip is banned use your lap top from somewhere which has free WiFi, i.e, Mc Donalds, Costa etc, or simply use an i phone from anywhere.
If you want to stay in the comfort of your own home I believe you can also buy programs to block your ip address.;)

(although coarse license sales in the area out-number game by over 10-1)

Whilst being sympathetic to your views here, I think it only correct to point out that there is no such thing as a coarse licence. I fish in England and Wales for game fish legally without a migratory fish license and save myself £75 by fishing for salmon and sea trout in Scotland. There are many, if not most, regular game anglers who don't purchase a migratory fish license as none is required for the angling they do.

I accept that Pete, but a very big % of game anglers up here take out the migratory license anyway.
Not sure whether it is divine intervention but the site forum database has crashed but they still managed to remove my user-name before, although it is still possible to register.
Ive re registered, just waiting to see how long it will be before I'm removed again ;)

Just use a "proxy server", people use them at work to get onto youtube, facebook and adult sites

http://www.daveproxy.co.uk/
you will need a new email address

They are 1000's of free proxy servers so you will nerver be banned

I bet I'll get banned from posting this :D

Update on NE-fishing, apparently the forum was hijacked (there is a God) and and all previous postings were lost and has started anew. However by registering with yet another name my most recent user-name had already been removed, no doubt my latest will after putting on several links to my clubs website forum.
Haven't checked yet as Ive spent the entire day gardening, (no one said retirement would be like this ) no doubt they will be gone next time I check in
