River Wear info.

Spending a few weeks up Kepier near to the River Wear at Durham. Had a walk of the river and the local club was 'Durham Rangers Angling Club'. Has any members any info regarding the river round this area, it certainly looks the part.

There was a lot more to that incident than first meets the eye and this article misrepresented the situation.
As you say Steve this does look a good stretch and above the Durham Rangers is free fishing but it does get heavily fished and you will find the fish shy away from pellets and boilies.Just be careful about getting too close to the Durham Rangers stretch as the riparian will be on you like a banshee according to some people I have spoken to.
