Save yourself a lot of blanks - it was wiped out by a cyanide pollution a couple of years ago. Will take a few more years to recover. Best bet is look at stretches below Great Haywood.

Danny, Creda Red House have a nice stretch of the Trent at Great Haywood ( the fish were supposed to be dead there, but are not ).

I'm glad I asked lol I am just looking for a small river to learn the art of trotting in the new season if anyone's got any suggestions? The Trent looked perfect but it's got no fish, what a shame!!!!

Upper/middle Warks Avon.

You could also try the water on the right bank above the Iron Bridge on the Severn, excellent float water. Don't know who owns that now but it used to be Rod and Gun with tickets on the bank. I'm sure one of the local guys though will be able to confirm that.
