If you are heading for Ironbridge then all the water round the town and for a mile or two upstream is free or day ticket......The local tackle shops will fill you in on the details.
B/North has loads of day ticket water, the Carols in the tackle shop in low town by the bridge are a mine of information and will sell you big feeders, bait and the all important ticket.
No doubt Scuba Steve, AKA Steve Williams will fill you in on the bits below the town.
If you want to go upstream a bit to Shrewsbury then the area around the weir (Stanley Avenue) is a very prolific bit and is day ticket on the bank.
Stan Lewis is your man at Bewdley, he owns the shop on the right bank downstream of the bank and also controls a bit of fishing through the town.
You could also check the EA site for free fishing, there is more than most people realise.

Hi men ,

Please can you let us know if you make it out of Stans shop though . I was attacked by a giant swarm of blue bottles , my throat was stripped of skin for months , and I could not even taste a curry for weeks !:D .

Yep, Stans is an experience aright, I was in there once and he had a pallet of luncheon meat in the middle of the shop he was knocking out for 50p a tin, it was fine; just two years out of date.....
