River Severn PLEASE HELP😬

Hi all,

Further to my previous question about fishing this wonderful river (hopefully for me as a 1st timer).

I am travelling up north for an old comrades funeral and am intending to stop on route for a couple of day’s fishing on the Severn.

My wife has booked accommodation in Coalbrookdale so I am either looking for a good day ticket fishery nearby or the nearest BAA fishery as I am a BAA member.

My wife would like to drop me off so obviously I would like to keep the boss happy and fish the nearest fishery with a good chance of a Barbel or some decent Chub fishing.

I look forward with thanks to some good responses 🤞

Think you would need to go downstream a bit towards Bridgnorth for the nearest BAA stretches. Have a look on their website, but there Is Arley, the Golf Course, Knowle Sands and the new stretch just outside Bridgnorth to try.

The closest BAA stretch to Coalbrookdale is Apley Estate water.

Even better than baa waters you've got the brewery stretch in Coalport literally around the corner. There's also a free stretch downstream which is even more productive 😉
