River Oke

Looking at an oldish fishing book , first published 1957, in the section detailing the rivers of England it shows a Thames tributary, the river Oke, entering the Thames between Oxford and Reading on the Eastern side. Rising near Swindon.flowing west.

I've never heard of it and can't find it on a map.
Can anyone throw any light on this mysterious river?

There's a river ock in Abingdon that flows into the Thames, maybe the names changed over the years?

Hi men,

Looked at it near its end as it enters the Thames in Abingdon , obviously there are some fish at this point , chub etc , not sure of its potential for barbel as we never got very far upstream .
