When I read Somewhere Down The Crazy River I struggled to get my head round the authors descriptions of what Tiger fish could do to lures and plugs. Reading that they could completely crush solid metal spinners and treble hooks beyond recognition left me thinking, well, how the hell can they do that?

That picture clears up any confusion for me. What a phenomenal looking beast! Ugly, terrifying, and, to use a cliche, totaly awesome, in the true sense of the word.

Personally, I quite Like Jeremey Wade's presenting style and it's good to see angling on prime-time again. I look forward to the new series.
 
You should see the very odd letter that I received completely out of the blue from some 'lady' at R.M.'s Bristol-based production company (I don't know it) within a fortnight of their learning (from a posting of mine here on BFW last year) that I had been back to the Congo in 2005 and had had a 91-pound Goliath.

Very odd communication, almost a warning-off in a lawyer acquaintance of mine's eyes, keepable if not frameable.

But, then, such is "Angling" these days.
