rig tubing

When do you guys use rig tubing for barbel fishing if at all?

I use it for all my carp fishing as i only fish in silty areas and slack line, with barbel i'm often fishing in a flow!! and a tight/tighter line in this instance i imagine the rig tubing sticking up a bit so haven't bothered to use it as yet but have noticed a few people do!

Hello Lewis

I use rig tubing on the rocky river Wye where there are real issues with abrasion against boulders and rocks. This allows for protection and safety. Some use lead core but this can present risks of tethering.

Rig tubing works fine, currently use Nash Camo tat as a wide enough bore to thread through. Normally about 2 FT.

The fish don't mind.
