Reviews on Rod

Dont know about the outcast but still have my first proper barbel rods chub barbel xp twin tips and they were so good i kept them,outcasts were pretty good carp rods for the cash as well.
 
I don't own one myself but a friend bought one last year and it seems to be a nice rod with a nice progressive action. Although both of us have not managed to catch a barbel on our local river since he acquired it ( perhaps it's jinxed :eek: )

Good Question David H.

Would love to be using it on a UK river , but alas it will be on a tidal creek in Sydney. I had a Carp of about 12 lbs last week on a Drennan super feeder rod which was just about up to the job in the flow. My friend has had them up to 30 lbs , and they do really go like Barbel in the flow , he is using 3.5 TC which is a bit over the top ! I was just hoping for a rod with plenty of back bone but still has some give.The bites are out of this world !
