Repair to rod ring. Advice please

One of the centre ceramics has come out of lower rod ring holder.

I've been unable to insert it back either from the base or top.
The liner looks perfect and not misshapen at all?

Is there a trick to doing it,? Heating the frame?

And what to use to try ensure it stays in.
Would araldite metal work? Especially if it has to simply sit on top or below the ring frame

Even if you got it back in, it’s unlikely to stay there.
Is the guide a rare or unobtainable one?
Because it’s far easier and more reliable to replace the guide. Any builder worth their salt should get it to match the rest if the guide and thread colour are available.

Heat up the frame with a lighter and freeze the ceramic, you'll need to work quickly but it does work. It goes without saying to wear gloves whilst doing this. Once in place secure the liner with a tiny amount of superglue.
Occasionally the actual metal frame has been misshapen due to impact. If this is the case it can be remedied with a tapered piece of wood or similar.
