I’ve used Weston developments, and been really happy with their service as they didn’t charge any extra for a small part my reel needed and included it the standard service price.Hi - I have a few Shimano reels that I need to get serviced, 2 x 4000 and 2 x 5000XTEA's, anyone have any recommendations for someone to use?

I'd second Richard Isaacs, top fella.
I have a shimmy 10000XTE that could do with a overhaul Richard, it may be beyond financially sensible to do it though. It actually runs but it doesn't feel right, play where there shouldn't be etc!Appreciate the kind words chaps.
Yeah I’ll help Garry out if he wants it no problem

As was I many years ago. Served my time on lathes, mills, etc and ended up in the precision grinding dept' of a gear, thread and spline scecialist Company. Many years ago now, still fancy getting myself a lathe in the shed for my retirement, perhaps knock a few pods etc up!Richard class act and an engineer by trade....
I had a little metric Myford ml10 in my garage for a lot of years and for its size it was an amazing little lathe. you could take decent cuts and do very accurate work unlike these mini watch makers things. As was I many years ago. There were a few centrepins knocked up in such places back in the day, dinner breaks and night shift saw a few extra quid make it into some pockets.
