Ratchet stopped working on jw young heritage centrepin

I'm guessing it's a simple fix did a web search but couldn't find anything. I would think someone might know on here? Switch still makes a loss audible noise but didn't engage. Please let me know if you do thanks in advance Jon

There's not a great deal that can go wrong. Take the spool off and check that the spring hasn't broken or the dog fallen out. Check to see what happens when you flick the ratchet lever over.

Tks Chris yes my thinking but in the pouring rain Thursday night didn't want to get my dirty hands inside. Have no idea how or why but the triangular mental piece would of appeared to turn around. Now back in its rightful place and all working. In case it comes up again for someone else picture here of correct positioning thanks Jon
