Been offered one cheapish and was wondering if it is suitable for close in barbeling? Seen it used on a matt hayes fishing program with a guest using it to good effect stalking carp so i guessing itll prob be ok, any obvious drawbacks? Appreciate any feedback

Had a pair I used to use until I replaced them with the 'pete reading pins'
They are fine for close in barbel fishing. Line guard makes them difficult to cast much further. Only down side is in flow they sometimes struggle to 'hold' using a line clip eliminates this but watch out for 'overspin' on a lively barbel take :)

A good condition one goes for £60. I sold my pair for £100.
