Encouraging youngsters into fishing is always difficult these days however we use our guest speaker evening to help generate funds to run and expand the NPS junior section in an attempt to get kids off I-pads on onto the river or lake bank. In the last couple of years the society’s coaches have been into local schools, and scout groups along with organising teach-ins and matches for youngsters from the Newark/North Notts areas. Our 2018 fund raising we again with your help hope to raise much needed funds for this to continue into 2019. So please come along and experience what is a fantastic midweek evening 2 great speakers with Archie Braddock and Phil Ringer, bar and a megga raffle plus loads of trade and bait stands this is a belter of an evening and being a mid-week evening talking fishing is the next best thing to going fishing so come and join us. This is held again at the Newark Showground NG24 2NY and will be well signposted. Free parking outside the hall and just a fiver on the door so no need to book. There are lots of discounts to be had in bait or tackle so any purchases that will pay for the entry fee several times over.
