quiver tip rod

I apologise if this has been done before, but my IT skills are not great despite my searches on the forum.

I am about to target barbel for the first time in 25 years and I am looking for a suitable rod but do want a quiver tip option.

I have looked at the Korum barbel quiver, but looking at other reports on the forum Korum rods seem to have an issue with reliability so was looking at the Drennan 1.75 twin tip, Free Spirit Helical Barbel Rod 12ft 1.75lb c/w Two Tops or something similar.

I will be fishing the Bristol and Hants Avon and Dorset Stour so will not be looking at chucking big leads/feeders to the horizon but do want something that will cope with (hopefully) mid doubles in fast water.

I only visit the forum at most once a day so please bear this in mind if I do not respond to any replies quickly.

On a slightly different note, yes Mr Marks, garlic luncheon meat was successful on BA in 90’s, I have the photos you took of my PB back in March 94, which has just made me realise it is nearly 30 years since I barbel fished, where has all the time gone?

Hi Kevin,

Before I got my first Torrix, I had been using a 12" Guru N-Gauge Power feeder. For me it was brilliant and had no problem at all with many fish up to 14lb. It is designed as a power feeder for carp, I had carp to 25lb again no problem at all.

I would be open to selling mine if you're interested. Lovely condition with 3 tips. I've only ever actually used the 3oz tip.
