Quiver/ Rod Holdall

Looking for a lightweight Quiver/Holdall which will take 1 Rod , 2 Banksticks, Landing Net Pole and occasional Brolly.
All the ones i see seem to be bulky and fairly heavy (bad back), remember the old Efgeeco holdalls something like that.
All the best

Albert

I've got the trakker nxg 5 rod and drennan super specialist 2 rod quivers.

The super specialist (if still available!) might suit your needs. 15quid at the time.

I'll second that Andy. Used the Gardner one week in week out for a couple of seasons now so you can add 'robust' to the list of praises! :) The reel pouches will actually take a 6000 GTE Baitrunner so don't be put off if you use larger reels.

Hi Albert, I have used the Gardner for the last 2 seasons, good piece of kit, I will give you a lift to the tackle shop on the back of my Motorbike if you want LOL Ray Thorpe

I use one of two at the moment:
Korum 2 rod quiver - nice and light, will carry two rods, rest, brolly etc. It has nice strap with plenty of adjustments and is well balanced and a carrying handle which is quite useful. :)
Shimano 3 rod quiver - again nice and light but takes 3 rods (sometimes I take a float road along with 2 ledger rods) but the strap is nowhere near as balanced as on the Korum quiver. :(
I must say that I like the look of the Gardner quiver, especially the flaps to protect the reels - a great idea.

Thanks for all the replies, i will have to make my mind up now.
Hello Ray,
Thats was about 43 years ago, it was a Moped wasnt it. Hope your keeping well.

All the best

Albert

Yes your right Albert 43 years ago, we will have to meet up and have a days fishing 43 years is a long time, Hope you find a suitable Rod holdall,

Ray

Hi Albert,

Its the brolly that makes these things so heavy.......so take it out and buy the Drennan Super Specialist twin rod sleeve and dont bother fishing in the rain !!!!!

Cheers.

I still use Westy's Double T quiver even though I've had to use cable ties instead of buckle on strap.

Shimano tribal 1 is very good, I put a piece of four inch duct off site inside to make it a bit more rigid, still light as a feather, even with my 2 rods, landing net/handle 3 bank sticks and brolly

I use the chub triple s rod sling, takes 3 rods, but I only carry 2 rods, landing net, pole and golfing umbrella.

Got the TFG 2 rod primal quiver does the job for me one prob if ye put a 12 ft rod plus brolly made up in it its a bit top heavy but l usually only take my 9ft nash river specialist made up its fine with landing net and banksticks..
