There’s lots of hares where I live nr York they are quite abundant and know how lucky we are that other than the idiots with 44’s and dogs that are becoming a serious problem in parts no one I’ve ever come across would consider shooting one I used to shoot rabbits when I was younger the farmers always used to say don’t shoot the hare! Such beautiful animals a real shame this is allowed to be.
Hares are the only game species that are not covered by a close season saying that game dealers will not buy them between March to September they say french people come over this country and pay big money to shoot them on hare drives not very sporting often leaving injured ones to die a slow death
