Prologic max suits?

Hi Richard,
I know Pro logic is sometimes associated with cheap as chips gear, but I did buy the max 4 gear a few years back and I can't fault it really .
I didn't go for the bib and brace , just the jacket and strides, still going strong.

Pro logic....

Is it an all in one or 2 piece?
Always been put off by the all in ones cause if you get too hot you have to tie the top round your waist where as with a 2 piece you can just take the coat off

I've had the 2 piece bib and brace job with jacket for about 4 years now and it's brilliant. Quality gear. I like the removable fleece on the jacket which is great for general wear on it's own and turns the garish* realtree coat into a nice lightweight jacket.

* I wear it because I struggled to find anything in the shop that met all my requirements that wasn't realtree pattern. Everything seems to be realtree nowadays. Personally I think I look like a complete tool. Almost as silly as the carp people that wear full camo gear but fish at 150 yards......

It's the guys on the Trent dressed head-to-toe in realtree, but with a bloody big white van parked behind them that crack me up. You couldn't make it up.

I reckon I've had my Max 4 jacket and bib'n'brace for the best part of 10 years. The jackets still fine and will be used this winter, the stitching around the crotch of the bib'n'nbrace has given up the ghost but could no doubt be repaired. Always liked the fact that it was made of a "quiet" material. If they're under £100 now that's quite a bargain.

The problem is Peter that if you bought yours 10+ years ago, then the chances of the new version (despite bearing the same name) being made of the same material, to the same standard, or even manufactured in the same country.....are pretty remote.

Cheers, Dave.

bought prologic 3 years ago, pretty rubbish, poor quality build needed re-proofing after a year wouldnt buy again. As for realtree surely the best example of it is the realtree head torch which costs more than the normal black one by the same maker lol

With these being under a £100 now and water-proof, are they a quality item?

I was told my Pro Logic waterproof suit was not actually waterproof by Pro Logic themselves. I took a full refund.

Unissued army Goretex over jacket and trousers has served me well since then.

Now they are waterproof!

Stephen
